Dr. Gordon Abas Goodarzi is the founder and president of US Hybrid and US FuelCell Corporation and president of Magmotor Technologies. With over thirty years of EV and HEV experience, he currently directs Technology and Product Development at US Hybrid with a focus on electric and hybrid powertrain design and manufacturing for medium and heavy duty commercial and military vehicles and fuel cell engine systems and at US FuelCell for the development and production of the integrated and freeze capable Fuel Cell engines system for Medium duty and heavy duty vehicles. Formerly professor at Cal State San Francisco, project engineer at US Windpower, technical director of General Motor’s EV1 program and senior scientist at Hughes Aircraft Company. Goodarzi has directed the development of various high density and efficiency power converters for GM, Ford, Wrightbus, Singapore LTA, Mack, Air Force, GEP, Sikorsky, Scomi Monorail, Hydrogenics, Textron, Rolls Royce and UTC Power’s respective fuel cell programs and various other projects and customers. Goodarzi’ key areas of experience and expertise are Electric Powertrain including power Converters, Motors and Controllers, Energy Management Systems and Vehicle System Controls. He holds Doctoral and Master’s Degrees from University of Missouri, Columbia in Power Electronics and a Bachelor’s Degree from California State University Sacramento in Power Systems. He has been a registered professional engineer since 1985. Goodarzi has published noted articles, patents and has received various professional awards.
