Jeff Benson is the founder and CEO of Cinergy Entertainment Group, Inc., a fast growing regional chain of cinema entertainment centers currently with three locations in Texas, an additional location under construction, and three more under development. Each Cinergy location combines family entertainment center amenities such as bowling, laser tag, ropes courses, large arcades, and event rooms with state-of-the-art theatre amenities such as luxury recliner seating and Dolby Atmos sound. Each center features a full menu of classic American favorites and a bar with beer, wine, and cocktails all delivered straight to your seat. Cinergy is a finalist this year for IAAPA’s Top FEC of the World. Jeff founded Movie Tavern in 1999, one of the first and largest chain of dine-in theatres in the country, which he sold in 2008. He started his career with the CPA firm of Deloitte in 1992 where he worked as an Audit Manager. Jeff was born in and lives in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 1992 with a Master of Science degree in accounting and is a CPA. He is Treasurer of Theatre Owners of Mid-America, an advisory board member of the National Association of Theatre Owners and is on the College of Business Advisory Board at the University of North Texas. Jeff and his wife and business partner, Jamie, have two boys, 14 and 11. Jeff is an avid private pilot and enjoys traveling and spending time at their vacation home in Durango.
