Jeff Banister

Most recently the manager of the Texas Rangers, Jeff Banister has spent over three decades in Major League Baseball. After retiring as a player, Banister served in numerous roles in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ organization from 1994-2014. Banister’s positions included, minor league manager, Major League Field Coordinator, Minor League Field Coordinator and Bench Coach. Banister was named manager of the Texas Rangers following the 2014 season. In his first year with the Rangers, Banister won the American League Manager of the Year Award. In 2016, he led the Rangers to an American League best 95 wins. In 638 games with the Rangers, Banister’s club won 325 games and made playoff appearances in 2015 & 2016.
