Robbie Dawson




Robby is a 33 year veteran of the Chesterfield (VA) Fire and EMS Department and currently serves as an assistant chief overseeing the community risk reduction division. He has served on many state and national codes and standards development committees including the International Code Council’s Means of Egress Committee; the Technical Committee for NFPA 1730 on Deployment and Organization of Fire Prevention Activities; and the Technical Committee for NFPA 1300 on Community Risk Reduction Plans. He also serves as a member of the Factory Mutual Global Fire Services Advisory Panel presenting fire service issues to Factory Mutual. Robby has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Richmond in emergency services management, and a master’s degree in business administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
