Tim Reeser is chief executive officer and co-founder of Lightning Hybrids. Lightning Hybrids manufactures energy recover systems (ERS) for heavy duty vehicles, including fleet trucks, buses, and off-highway vehicles; reducing emissions by over 50% while providing a fast ROI through fuel savings, with a market opportunity of more than 45 million vehicles worldwide. Lightning Hybrids investors include Castrol Innoventures and Aravaipa, and customers to date include UPS, DHL, National Express and NREL. Reeser has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from CSU, and has been involved with alternative transportation technology since 1990, when he helped design the first dedicated CNG truck for GM while at Colorado State University. Prior to co-founding Lightning Hybrids, Reeser served as vice president of Colorado State University Ventures, where he spun out clean-tech companies and built the framework to support accelerated growth of spin-outs and spin-ins at CSU.
