Chris Horton serves as the County Auditor for Arlington County, Virginia. Chris has 20 years of auditing experience, including with the state of Arizona, the City and County of Denver, and Fairfax County Public Schools. Chris is the President for the Association of Local Government Auditors, and he represents local government audit functions on the Comptroller General’s Domestic Working Group. Chris completed his B.A. (Political Science/History) and M.A. (History) at the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. He completed his Ph.D. (Public Administration) at Arizona State University. Chris holds several audit certifications, including the Certified Internal Auditor designation.
