Cynthia Purvis Roe has 30+ years of experience managing human factors and ergonomic R&D. She joined M-erg in 2013 and specializes in working with clients and overseeing research involved with large dual display use, both touch and non-touch. She is Technical Advisor and Past-President of the Office Ergonomics Research Committee www.oerc.org. She founded and co-directed HP’s Ergo R&D Program seeking to understand how technology can be designed to help mitigate strains on the human visual and musculoskeletal systems. Cynthia co-authored the HP Safety & Comfort Guide and videos entitled Scan for Awkwardness and Move, Adjust Your Monitor, Move From Sit to Stand, and Adjust Your Chair www.hp.com/ergo. Her founding the HF program at Compaq Computer is described in Usability in Practice, 1994. She managed an HF Group at Xerox, holds U.S. Patents and contributed to ANSI/HFES100. Cynthia holds a master’s degree in Human Factors/Applied Experimental Psychology from California State University.
