George Bjelovuk is Vice President in the Business Strategy & Solutions team at Siemens Digital Grid, providing advisory services, smart grid strategy, and grid modernization to customers. Prior to joining Siemens, George was American Municipal Power’s Owner’s Engineer and Project Manager, where he led the development of a shared services advanced metering solution for AMP’s municipal utility members. While at American Electric Power, he held leadership positions in Distribution, Customer Operations, and IT/Telecommunications, including leading the development of AEP's gridSMART strategy. As part of Ernst&Young's Power and Utilities practice, he advised clients in T&D, IT Transformation and Regulatory matters. He has been active with the EPRI’s Intelligrid program and NIST’s Smart Grid Interoperability Panel. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Youngstown State University and an MBA in finance and strategy from The Ohio State University.
