As Manager, Emerging Technology in Distribution Operations and Asset Management at Entergy, Omar leads new and emerging technology strategy development for the electric distribution business of our five utility operating companies, which serve 2.9 million customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. He is also Manager, Emerging Technology Transfer (METT) at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) for Entergy’s non-nuclear business, ensuring strategic alignment and coordination of R&D activities in the generation, power delivery and utilization, environment, and technology innovation sectors. Entergy Corporation is an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations. Entergy owns and operates power plants with approximately 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity, including nearly 9,000 megawatts of nuclear power.
