Dr. Vahid Salehi received his Ph.D. degree from Florida International University, Miami, FL, USA, in 2012. Currently, he is a technical lead engineer with Southern California Edison (SCE), T&D Grid Modernization & Resiliency group. Before that, he was a Principal Engineer with Quanta Technology from 2016 to 2018 and a Lead Power System Engineer with Power Analytics Corporation from 2013 to 2016. His work and research interests include power system studies, smart grid, renewable energy integration and energy conversion in power systems, distributed energy resource integration, dynamic modeling of the power system, power system stability, protection, wide-area monitoring, control, and protection of power systems. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electronic and (IEEE) and member of the PES and IAS Societies. He is currently serving as an IAS area chair for Region 6 and the chapter chair for the San Diego IEEE section.
