Anamaria Bonilla is the Assistant Chief Engineer for Metro-North Railroad and has been with MNR for 15 years. Metro-North operates in New York and Connecticut primarily as a commuter railroad, with some freight traffic. She is responsible for the Engineering Group for Track and Structures. These responsibilities include the emergency response, New York inventory for bridges, and other assets, supplemental track inspections using third party scans and autonomous reporting, creating plans and contract documents for procurement, plans and documentation for in-house maintenance work. PM for the Engineering Services contract covering 31 separate tasks, and the new MoW Inspection Car procurement. She has 22 years of experience in highway and railroad engineering. Anamaria is a registered professional engineer in New York and Connecticut, and is an active member of the League of Railway Women, and AREMA Committee 15 and 16. In 2016, Anamaria was name the 2016 League of Railway Women Outstanding Woman of the Year Award.
