Walter Rosenberger is Manager - Operations Research & Tests at Norfolk Southern. He performs derailment investigation and other analyses supporting train operations, including computer simulations using TOES® and VAMPIRE™ models. Walter received his B.S.M.E from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and his M.S.M.E. from NC State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states, having begun his career in process engineering design and consulting. He has worked in the rail industry since 1998. Walter is a member of ASME, and is involved with AAR Derailment Prevention and Mechanical & Vehicle/Track Systems committees.
