Oscar Rene Gutierrez practices law alongside his father, Oscar H. Gutierrez, in Los Angeles. They litigate and try catastrophic personal injury, brain injury, and wrongful death cases across the state of California on behalf of injured victims. The vast majority of Oscar Rene’s legal work aids the monolingual Spanish-speaking community. He has successfully tried numerous criminal and civil trials to verdict. His career demonstrates a deep passion for litigation and trial work that has garnered him honors and accolades from local and national organizations, including: America’s Top 100 Attorneys, Attorney.com, Best Attorneys in America, Best Lawyers, Lawyers of Distinction, The National Trial Lawyers, Super Lawyers, Top Attorneys of North America, and TopVerdict.com. Fluent in Spanish, he has given numerous Spanish-language presentations discussing oral advocacy and the American jury trial to Mexican law students, attorneys, and judges throughout Mexico. He has provided Spanish-language legal commentary for Univision 34 Los Angeles and MundoFox. In 2016, Oscar Rene was nominated for the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles’ (CAALA) “Rising Star” Award. In September 2018, Oscar Rene was recognized by the Los Angeles County Bar Association in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. In October 2019, he was recognized as an “Héroe de la Comunidad” by Univision-34 Los Angeles. In March 2020, he was honored by the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) with their prestigious “Top Lawyers Under 40” Award. In 2021, Oscar Rene was nominated for the Consumer Attorneys of California’s (CAOC) “Street Fighter of the Year” Award. Oscar Rene served as the 2019 President of the Mexican American Bar Association of Los Angeles County (MABA). He currently serves on the CAALA Board of Governors, the CAOC Board of Directors, and on CAOC’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Oscar Rene is a “Founding 50 Member” of Justice HQ.
