Bob began his career as a Research Engineer at a corporate R&D facility located in Western New York, after earning a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson College (now Clarkson University). While his primary focus was crystallization, and crystal growth, Bob also had project assignments at the company's manufacturing locations. Finding operations, and production more closely aligned with his interests, Bob changed employers, and accepted the position of Staff Engineer at the headquarters of a company in the Chemical Process Industry (CPI), with multiple production plants spanning the US, it was his first awareness of truly having a mentor. Eventually moving on moving to Florida, new Jersey, back to Florida, Bob eventually landed in California, he joined Valent in December of 1994 as a Manufacturing Engineer, and has been there since, with primary responsibility for Contract Manufacturing, Valent has no company owned manufacturing locations in the United States.
