Tim McGlothlin currently serves as the Executive Director for The Ergonomics Center of North Carolina. Reporting to North Carolina State University, the center provides ergonomics consulting, training and research to clients worldwide. Tim holds a BS from Virginia Tech, MS from the University of Tennessee and a CPE certification through the Board of Certification in Professional Ergonomics. He has worked for two Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award-winning companies. First at Motorola where he served in various technical and manufacturing leadership positions. Then as Principal Ergonomist with Eastman Chemical Company where his group reduced musculoskeletal injuries 83 percent. He also served two terms as Senior Vice-President for Technical Networking on the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers’ (IISE) Board of Trustees and four years as the Conference Co-Chair for the Institute’s Applied Ergonomics Conference. Tim was recently named IISE Fellow for his service to the profession.
