Jim Courtney




Jim is a 26 year veteran of the fire service serving in multiple operational roles as well as tenure as a fire investigator and training coordinator for the Henrico County (VA) Division of Fire. He is a captain and currently serves as the Hazardous Materials Incident Response team’s regional leader. Jim spent 5 years with Prince George's County (MD) Fire and Rescue and graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in fire science. Jim is an adjunct instructor with the International Society of Fire Service Instructors, and actively teaches multiple local programs within Virginia.
