Linda Finley is currently a consultant to the utility industry after spending four decades working at major utilities on modernization of the electric utility infrastructure. Projects& Programs include: • The first digital control Center for Cincinnati Gas & Electric Co. including installation of SCADA at all substations • Demand Response and Distribution Automation Systems at Houston Lighting & Power Co. (now Centerpoint Energy) • Design and Implementation of a new SCADA and Geographical Information Mapping System for Snohomish County PUD • Sub Committee Chair for Demand Side Management /IEEE- Power Engineering Society • Collaboration with EEI on Distribution Automation planning and programs • Collaboration with EPRI on Open Communication Standards • Member of a Joint Panel of Northwest Regional Utilities which formed the ColumbiaGrid Regional Planning Organization. • Worked with regional utilities to modernize the BPA rate design process • Worked with WECC utilities on all FERC orders associated with Regional Transmission Planning • Taught Distribution Automation courses worldwide All of these projects and programs represent a full career dedicated to the electric power industry and the transformation of its infrastructure to prepare it for the future.
