Valentine A Emesih, P.E. is currently Division VP, Operational Technology and Markets at CenterPoint Energy. He and his team are responsible for operational technologies, and systems that monitor, manage, and control electric transmission & distribution grids. He and his team are also responsible for operational technologies and business processes that enable Centerpoint Energy support the efficient operation ERCOT wholesale and retail electric markets, the corporate advanced analytics platforms that enable data driven decision making, and the Corporate Technology Office that enables disciplined selection and management of Information technology architectures and solutions. He has worked in utility and utility automation business for over 30 years. Mr. Emesih, who is a licensed Professional Engineer, has worked for CenterPoint Energy since 1997. Prior to joining CenterPoint Energy, he held engineering, system development and project management positions for electric utility automation systems vendors - Ferranti International Controls in Sugarland, Texas (currently Ventyx -ABB ); and Johnson Controls in Carrollton, Texas (currently ARINC Inc).
