Steve Gilligan serves as vice president of product and vocational marketing for the North American Truck Operations of International Truck and Engine Corporation, the operating company of Navistar International Corporation which is one of the world’s leading truck and diesel engine manufacturers. Gilligan was originally hired in 1983 as an employee of International Harvester Corporation. He spent the next 12 years at Navistar, where he served in a variety of sales, pricing, and marketing positions, including director of medium truck marketing. From 1995 to 1996, Gilligan was an employee of AlliedSignal where he acted as the director of engine enterprise and was responsible for the air compressor business unit at Bendix Truck Brake Systems. In 1997, he left Bendix to become general marketing manager at Paccar's Kenworth division, where he was responsible for the product management, pricing, marketing communications, and sales administration. In 2005, Gilligan rejoined International Truck and Engine Corporation and served as assistant general manager for heavy trucks. He assumed responsibility for both vocational and on-highway product marketing in 2009. Gilligan holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Loras College, an MBA from the University of Washington, and a marketing management certificate from Stanford University.
