Phillip Kobernick runs the sustainable transportation program in Alameda County, focusing on “greening” the county’s internal vehicle fleet and developing a commuter program for employees to reduce drive-alone commutes. For the county’s fleet, Kobernick is currently overseeing the collaborative procurement of nearly 100 EVs for 10 public agencies in the San Francisco Bay Area, the transition to all-electric vehicle and better management of EV energy use, and other pilot projects to reduce gasoline consumption.
