Oscar is currently the Senior Vice President, Strategic Projects at Convergent Energy and Power and is responsible for the commercial engagement, energy storage solution design, and project development for the commercial, industrial and utility-scale market segments. Oscar has more than a decade of experience in the energy storage, solar power and electrical manufacturing industries. Before Convergent, Oscar worked for industry leaders including Schneider Electric and Canadian Solar. Oscar has extensive knowledge of the U.S., Canadian and Latin American markets, where he has been involved in award-winning utility-scale energy storage and solar projects accounting for more than 500MWs. Oscar is an Electrical and Electronics Engineering grad from Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Toronto, Canada and a Global Executive MBA degree from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.
