Karl DeLooff leads the Safety, Environment, and Quality team at Acciona Energy North America. He is responsible for compliance with the ISO 9001, 140001, and OSHAS 180001/ISO 45001 systems, safety programs and performance, and environmental programs and compliance with external regulations and Acciona’s high internal standards. Karl’s served as US Marine in the infantry during Operation Desert Storm and the US Coast Guard in several Marine Safety Offices enforcing environmental laws and investigating incidents. After active service, he performed contracted environmental emergency response, remediated Super Fund sites, installed landfill gas to energy and various other water and air treatment systems, and energy utilization projects. Karl has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Hope College, Holland, Michigan.
