Taber Allison is a Senior Certified Ecologist and Director of Research and Evaluation for the American Wind Wildlife Institute where he oversees AWWI’s research program and the development of AWWI’s wind-wildlife assessment tools. Taber has an M.S. in Forest Ecology from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, and a Ph. D in Ecology from the University of Minnesota. Prior to coming to AWWI Taber was Vice President for Science, Policy, and Climate Change at Mass Audubon. Taber has served on the faculty at The Ohio State University and the University of Colorado, was Director of the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, and was Program Officer in Ecology at the National Science Foundation. Taber was a member of the US DOI Wind Turbine Federal Advisory Committee and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management’s Outer Continental Shelf Scientific Committee. He is currently a science advisor to the Bats Wind Energy Cooperative.
