Barry Bryson, Associate Director, the Utah Education and Telehealth Network (UETN) reports to the CTO overseeing network planning, technical customer advocacy and many other initiatives. He directs and oversees leadership efforts in helping customers navigate WiFi issues and opportunities. The network has recently engaged in an initiative to deploy eduroam or like universal SSID access to the majority of it’s 1,500+ connected locations with the goal of providing ubiquitous connectivity to students and teachers to empower Digital Teaching and Learning. Recently launched is the Utah Wireless Administrators Group (UWAG) which has the vision of; “through knowledge sharing and collaboration, will improve the quality and effectiveness of WiFi throughout the state”. Barry joined UETN in 2000 and possesses over 40 years experience in Information Technology. He participates with The Quilt, Internet2 and other national organizations, WestNet and UETN regional technical forums where he is the technical advocate.
