Mark Harrison is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the areas of business finance, strategic transactions, and corporate law. He is the President and Managing Member of Totem Enterprise Group, an advisory firm focused on developing and financing small – middle market businesses. Prior to founding Totem, Mr. Harrison served as the Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy from July 2013-December 2014 researching and writing on barriers to growth for small innovation companies and potential government solutions. He is the former President of the Business Consortium Fund, a national business development and financing program for minority entrepreneurs affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council. Mr. Harrison has experience in a range of financing transactions from venture capital funding for early stage technology companies to equity and debt investing with lower/middle market firms including extensive work with minority and women owned companies. Mr. Harrison has practiced corporate and securities law with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C. and the Venable law firm in Baltimore, MD. He received his B.S. in Business and Marketing Management from Cornell University and his J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
