Johnny Davidson joined the fire service in 1994 as a volunteer firefighter before getting hired with the City of Round Rock, (TX) Fire Department in 1995. He promoted through the ranks of Firefighter, Fire Driver, Fire Lieutenant, and Fire Captain where he spent 22 years in the suppression division before transferring to the Training Division in 2017. Captain Davidson is currently assigned as the department’s EMS Coordinator where some of his responsibilities are to manage and develop the medical training for the departments EMT’s and facilitate advance life support training for the departments AEMT’s and Paramedic firefighters. During his time with the Round Rock FD he has attended higher education where he obtained an associates and bachelor’s degree in fire science. He currently works with the International Association of Fire Fighters helping to develop a training program for wild land firefighting.
