Kevin Alewine is the corporate director of marketing for Shermco Industries after serving for several years as the director of their renewable energy services. Kevin has been involved directly and peripherally with the wind generation industry for many years while focusing his nearly 40 year career on the manufacture and repair of rotating machinery up to 15kV. He was previously a market segment global vice-president and senior applications specialist for a premier manufacturer of electrical insulation and conductors and was responsible for all marketing efforts in the Americas and for American manufactured products worldwide. He assisted both OEM and aftermarket clients in Europe, Asia and the Americas optimize the cost/performance value of their motor and generator designs with the development, evaluation, testing and specification of electrical insulation materials, systems and manufacturing processes. Kevin is active on several IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society standards working groups and is the technical chair for the 2017 Electrical Insulation Conference to be held in Baltimore. He is also the chair of the American Wind Energy Association O&M Committee focusing on improving the reliability and profitability of wind energy projects and was the technical program chair for the AWEA Windpower 2014 conference.
