Mike Hoey is Director – Construction Engineering with the Design & Construction Department at CSX Transportation, the largest freight railroad in the eastern United States, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Currently his primary responsibility is to manage the construction projects in the Northeast Region. Also he is responsible for the management of the ongoing work on the National Gateway Initiate which is a program to introduce double stack service to the CSX’s Mid Atlantic Region Mike is a native of Pennsylvania and earned his BE degree in civil engineering from the University of Villanova in 1974. Following graduation he was hired by Penn Central Transportation Company which later became part of Conrail and then CSX. He has held a number of positions at various locations across the network over the course of his over 40 year career. Mike is a registered professional engineer and land surveyor in a number of States and is a member of the American Railway Engineering & Maintenance-of-Way Association.
