Carolyn Berger is an associate professor for the Department of Counseling at Nova Southeastern University.  She received her Ph.D., M.Ed., and Ed.S. in Counselor Education from University of Florida.  She has a B.A. in Psychology from Northwestern University. Dr. Berger is a certified school counselor in the state of Florida and has served as a school counselor at both the middle and high school levels. She serves on the board for the Florida School Counselor Association and is a Past-Chair of FSCA. Currently, Dr. Berger is working on a research grant that focuses on improving College and Career Readiness for middle school students in Broward County. She regularly teaches Principles of School Counseling, Career Development and College Planning, and she serves as a practicum and internship instructor for both school and mental health counseling students.  She also teaches for the online mental health counseling program at NSU.
