Jenny Schweigert is a front-porch-loving wife, mom and entrepreneur from Illinois. In 2009, she stepped foot into the mommy blogger world, telling crazy stories about her husband, three young sons, renovating their 1880’s home, hunting, photography and farming. On Monday evenings, she hosted a Twitter chat which connected her network of non ag friends & colleagues to farmers she found on the social media channel. By 2012, Jenny began working in agriculture advocacy, connecting with farmers and ranchers from all over the globe. Today, she hosts the Keeping Ag Real podcast, works as an agricultural liaison and creates social media content and strategies. Listeners can tune in for food & farming conversations with experts such as United States Agriculture Undersecretary Bill Northey, Dr. Jayson Lusk & General Mills’ director of Sustainability & Transparency, Catherine Gunsbury and more. The show has explored agriculture technology, women in agriculture, issues such as GMOs, rural broadband access, citrus greening & more. She is passionate about mental wellness, the power of knowledge, and is constantly learning about global agriculture.
