Jerry Miller currently serves as the Director of Shared Services and Strategic Sourcing for Capital One, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in McLean, Virginia. One of the nation’s top ten largest banks based on deposits, Capital One Bank serves banking customers through more than 900 branch locations in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Louisiana, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. In this role, Mr. Miller leads the Enterprise Supplier Management Shared Services group. His team focuses on Supplier Diversity, Procurement Analytics, Professional Services, Strategic Sourcing and building a best in class Procurement organization for Capital One. Since joining Capital One in 2000, Mr. Miller has served in various Supply Chain roles for the company, in areas including Sourcing, Contracting and Supplier Management. Most recently he headed IT Sourcing and Contracting. Prior to joining Capital One, Mr. Miller served as the Director of Procurement Services for the City of Richmond. In this role he managed Supplier Diversity, Procurement Services and Warehousing services. Mr. Miller is a graduate of Emory & Henry College with a Bachelor of Science in Economic Theory and Political Science. He is also a graduate of The Management Institute at the University of Richmond. Mr. Miller is a member of the Institute for Supply Management, where he serves on the editorial board of the ISM magazine; actively mentors diversity supply chain students and is a member of the Supplier Diversity group. An active member of the community, Mr. Miller has served as a board member for the Virginia Minority Supplier Development Council, a board member of the Maryland/DC Minority Supplier Development Council, a board member of his community association and a member of the Conference Board – Supplier Diversity. He is also an active volunteer with the Central Virginia Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement.
