Ron McGill began his career with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in 1996 at Hyatt Regency San Antonio as a General Maintenance Mechanic. Ron’s Engineering career has led him on a 14,000+ mile journey across the United States to 9 different world-class Hyatt properties spread coast-to-coast across key national markets. Since 2014, Ron has been the Director of Engineering at Grand Hyatt New York, the flagship property of the Grand Hyatt brand and the only hotel connected to Grand Central Terminal located in the City's bustling Midtown Manhattan district. In addition to his responsibilities at Grand Hyatt, Ron provides a supporting role to the engineering teams at Hyatt properties in New Jersey and Long Island. Ron serves on various advisory teams and peer groups within Hyatt to assist in developing best practices for other Hyatt hotels. Ron lives by the saying “Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer” and is very active in his community. Ron is deeply committed to and involved in a variety of fundraising efforts including feeding the homeless with Snoop Dog, repelling off the 17-story Hyatt Regency Long Beach in honor of the Special Olympics, and participating in Bike MS New York cycling events where he ranked in the top 3% of fund raisers. However, Ron's highest priority in life is his family, which includes four beautiful daughters. Ron enjoys being tech savvy and keeping up with the latest technological gadgets. Ron has been known to be the on-site tech guru and is often called upon to help his co-workers navigate the latest technology.
