Michelle Burris brings with her 18 years of accounting, finance and operations experience, 10 of which are at the executive level, in for-profit and not-for-profit Health Care Services organizations. Upon finishing her service in the United States Marine Corps, Michelle received her Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Jacksonville State University, Alabama and her MBA from Monmouth University, New Jersey. Michelle has held several high-profile leadership positions in the health care industry. Most recently, Michelle assumed the role of CFO for Delaware Hospice. Previously, Michelle simultaneously held both CFO and VP of Operations positions at Reading Health Physician Network. Prior to Reading, she was CFO at Heritage Medical Group; and VP/CFO at Lancaster General Medical Group. Michelle began her 18-year health care career with Meridian Health Resources where she ultimately held the role of Controller. Michelle is a Fellow through the ACMPE and an active member in the National and Pennsylvania Chapter of MGMA. She serves as a Board member for the PA Chapter and is actively involved in the State Legislative and Education Committees. At the National level, Michelle serves on the ACMPE Board Nomination Committee. Michelle has been a speaker and published several articles related to practice management.
