Mike Hornemann graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Montana State University in 2000 and has worked in the wind industry ever since. Prior to Joining Romax in August 2012, Mike's wind experience comprised of: 6 years with General Electric as a field engineer commissioning GE 1.5 MW wind turbines, 18 months of project installation and commissioning support at Clipper and 3 years at EDPR as the manager of the Turbine Performance Engineering group. At Romax Mike works directly with wind turbine owners to increase the reliability of operating wind assets. Recent projects have included drivetrain failure RCA, lubrication and SCADA analysis, CMS system installation, technician training and up tower drivetrain repair tooling and procedure development. When not working, Mike enjoys exploring the mountains of Colorado with his wife and 10 year old son.
