Karen Tucker, Renewable Services Technical Director at Wanzek, is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and PMI Certified Project Management Professional. Prior to her work at Wanzek, she managed operational quality within NextEra Energy's wind fleet for seven years. Karen earned her BAS in Energy Management from Bismarck State College, a BS in Industrial Technology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of North Dakota. She is an ASQ certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Auditor and Quality Manager. She also specializes in six sigma consulting, reliability engineering methods, kaizen facilitation, lean tools, statistical data analysis and predictive/preventive modeling, training and facilitation for quality improvements. During her involvement in the Six Sigma training and certification program, Karen has mentored, coached and certified over 150 yellow, green and black belt candidates. She has facilitated wind fleet lean six sigma process improvement projects with annual NPV returns in excess of $50 million.
