Dr. Surya Darma, is now a Chairman of the Indonesian Renewable Energy Society (METI/IRES) and an Expertise Board of the Indonesia Electric Power Society (MKI). He is a Member of National Research Council of Indonesia (DRN) and chairs the Energy Committee of DRN from 2008 to 2015. Surya has over 30 year experiences in geothermal, power and energy sector. From 2006 to 2009, he served as a Director of Operation of Pertamina Geothermal Energy, the largest geothermal company in Indonesia. And then, he appointed as an Adviser for President Director of PERTAMINA, a National Oil Company of Indonesia. Now, Surya is a President Director of PT. Hasera Sagoesa. He also served at the Renewable Energy Permanent Committee of the Indonesian Chambers of Commerce and Industry since 2008 until now. He also active as a Lecturer of the Geothermal Exploration Master Program, University of Indonesia (UI) since 2012 and serve also as the Advisory Board of the Geothermal Master Program of ITB since 2011. He served also as an independent consultant on geothermal and the renewable energy project. He is a pass President of Indonesia Geothermal Association (INAGA) and run the organisation since 2007 up to 2011. Since then take a responsible as an Advisory Board of INAGA. Surya also take a rule in a Board member of International Geothermal Association (IGA) since 2007 to 2013 and from 2016 until now. He was also responsible for hosting the World Geothermal Congress 2010 in Bali, as the President of INAGA.
