Ross Ludford is a Paramedic and Clinical manager within the East Midlands of the UK. He started my Career at the age of 18 through a university course gaining a foundation degree to become a paramedic. Throughout a five year career has worked in a variety of clinical roles within the service throughout Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. Since qualifying, he has constantly worked to progress and develop most recently by completing university modules towards a further degree. Having completed a selection of courses including pre hospital trauma life support and in April successfully competed in the Emergency Medical Services conference in Copenhagen and along with three of my colleagues were awarded the highest scoring team in an emergency simulation. Prior to working within his current role, was employed as a hazardous area response team (HART) paramedic where he had the opportunity to complete courses including swift water rescue, safe working at heights, urban search and rescue and had the opportunity to complete advanced skills such as the use of ketamine, midazolam, flumazenil and completing thoracostomy's and being taught how to complete a surgical airway.
