Charlie Elder has been involved in the automotive parts and service industry since 1968 and a shop owner since 1972. He has been a member of ASA since 1976 and has held local, state, and national positions including National Chairman 2006-2007. Charlie has been involved with government regulation of the automotive service industry since 1987 and currently serves as the chairman of the Florida Motor Vehicle Repair Advisory Council, Dept. of Consumer Service. He has a BS in Ag Engineering from the University of Tennessee and an AAM from the Automotive Management Institute.
