John Franklin leads Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) project at National Grid, an electric and gas utility in the Northeast. John is a subject matter expert for both transmission and distribution electric operations. He plays a key role in the integration of distribution automation, distributed energy resources, and other new energy technologies into control room systems and processes. He has taken part in the specification and implementation of multiple control center software platforms such as Energy Management System (EMS) and Outage Management System (OMS). John holds an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Vermont Technical College, Bachelors in Business Management from Becker College and an MBA from Assumption College.
