Alison received her bachelor's degree from The University of Miami in Elementary Education and Psychology. She then followed her interests in special education and received a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education. After working for several years in the field as a special educator, Alison returned to the University of Miami to pursue a master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. Alison has worked with children and their families for the past 13 years in the capacity of special educator, counselor, case manager, researcher, and advocate. Alison is currently a Clinical Support Specialist at Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Autism & Related Disabilities, providing consultation, training, and support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is working towards her licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, and has joined the doctoral program in Counselor Education at Florida Atlantic University.
