Doug Cronin currently works for the Naval Oceanographic Office, Ocean Projects Department as the AUV Technical Lead. Doug began his career at the Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) in 1986 working with Towed Oceanographic systems. Since early 2000, Doug has been involved with NAVOCEANO's AUV program. Doug has been NAVOCEANO's Program Manager for the Navy's Program of Record, LBS-AUV Program, from the Pre-Acquisition Activities in 2005 through the Full Rate Production in 2014. Most recently Doug has been working on integrating new technology into AUVs, including new sensors as well as autonomous software.
