James Frison is currently the Director of Supplier Diversity for Lowe's Home Improvement where he leads the company’s efforts to broaden its utilization of certified small and diverse business enterprises. Prior to joining Lowe's, James spent eleven years in classic brand management roles at Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, Walt Disney World and Snyder's-Lance. Earlier in his career, James spent 5 years as part of a leadership development program at GE where he achieved Six Sigma Black Belt Certification. James graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering and also earned an MBA degree in Marketing from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC Chapel Hill. He has extensive international experience having traveled to 40 countries around the world and completing global immersion courses in China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, South Africa and Ghana. James is very active in the community serving as a Coach and Mentor to students at Kenan-Flagler Business School and as a member of the Lowe’s Hometown Advisory Committee which reviews funding grants to be awarded to non-profit organizations focused on public education and community improvement projects. In his leisure time, James enjoys playing the piano, studying martial arts and international travel.
