Jim Piontek is the President of Encompass Vending in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The company, originally called Smiley’s – Mel’s Coin, was formed by Jim’s grandfather and a partner in the 1950’s. Jim’s father joined the company in the mid 70’s and along with his friends Sam Zamuto and Paul Beal from Arachnid, brought electronic darts to Wisconsin and the Green Bay area in 1976. Jim joined the company full-time in 2005 and became the third-generation owner in 2016 along with his brother Andy. Today, Encompass Vending operates in mostly street locations, however they are branching out into different types of locations. Jim currently serves as Vice President on the AMOA Board of Directors and has also recently joined the National Dart Association’s Board as a Director. Born, raised and resides in Green Bay with his wife, Tara and two step sons. He enjoys traveling and seeing new places. Jim mostly likes to check out street-type locations in other markets to see how they operate, promote and brand themselves. He is always trying to get some new ideas to bring back to customers on his routes.
