Melissa Goldberg joined the East Tennessee Clean Fuels Coalition (ETCFC) as a Project Manager in August 2016. She brings varied experience from her career in environmental protection, conservation, and outreach to reduce the use of petroleum in Tennessee by promoting alternative fuel technologies and energy efficiency in transportation. Melissa holds a M.A. from Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Applied Environmental Anthropology and a B.A. from Barnard College in American Studies with a minor in Environmental Science. Prior to joining ETCFC, Melissa worked in the Conservancy of Southwest Florida’s Development office supporting fundraising through Major Gifts, Annual Giving and Membership, Special Events, and a Capital Campaign. In her three years with the National Park Service, Melissa assisted Yosemite National Park’s American Indian Liaison Program in fostering consultation with American Indian communities, ensuring cultural and natural resource protection in partnership with traditionally-associated tribes and groups. Throughout her career Melissa has worked on varied additional projects, which include developing an internal protocol for conducting community-wide Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories for the City of Aspen, CO and helping Sierra Club’s Electric Vehicles Initiative coordinate National Drive Electric Week 2014. She is passionate about clean air and clean energy and looks forward to working with fleets and partners all over Tennessee.
