Timothy Baima, Ph.D., is the Clinical Training director for the Masters’ program in Counseling for Palo Alto University. Dr. Baima received his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Syracuse University, his MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University in San Diego, and his BA in Psychology from UC Davis. Dr. Baima’s clinical work has focused on providing home-based individual, couple and family therapy in economical disadvantaged communities. Dr. Baima draws upon a variety of therapeutic models to examine the intersections of loss, trauma, oppression and interpersonal relationships. He has worked with the Violence Intervention and Prevention Program in Syracuse, NY, and The Family Institute of Pinole in Pinole, CA. Dr. Baima currently sees clients in private practice and contracts with community-based mental health programs.
