Peter Lukens is the EHS & Training Senior Manager for Gamesa, he holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University. Peter manages environmental, health and safety for the Services division. He is also responsible for training for Gamesa’s US organization focusing on curriculum development, knowledge and skill building for technical and non-technical staff. Gamesa’s training department now offers more than 70 courses that range from HR and Management skills to highly technical courses. Before moving into the Training Department, Peter was the Advanced Maintenance manager for Services in Gamesa, and managed a team that performed all major maintenance activities in all North American wind farms. He was also a Blades Root Cause Analysis Engineering in the Quality Department. Performing root cause analysis for all major failures in the US and serialized defect issues on a global scale. Peter started with Gamesa in 2007 as an Environmental Engineer in Manufacturing.
