Geoffrey Bove, DC, PhD
Dr. Geoffrey Bove graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 1988, earned a PhD in Neurobiology and Anatomy from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1994, and has since been performing basic science research related to pain mechanisms and chiropractic. Among his achievements are being the first chiropractor to be considered by the National Institutes of Health as “postdoctoral” by virtue of his chiropractic degree, and the first chiropractor to be appointed faculty at Harvard Medical School. His publications have been diverse, including reviews, commentaries, and most importantly, original research findings, which have appeared in such venues as Journal of Physiology, Journal of Neuroscience, and Journal of the American Medical Association. His research has been funded by five different NIH institutes. He lives in southern Maine with his spouse of 34 years and her petting zoo.
