Dr. Cortez works in the emergency department at Ohio Health Doctors Hospital where he serves as core faculty for the emergency medicine residency program and clinical assistant professor of emergency medicine for Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also serves as the Ohio Health System Assistant EMS Medical Director and the Associate Medical Director for the Columbus Division of Fire.
