Pat D. McLaughlin serves at King County’s Director of Solid Waste providing the nation’s 13th largest county with innovative, efficient, and environmentally responsible solutions for managing unwanted resources, often referred to as garbage. His 30+ years of public/private global experience cuts across a diverse set of industries including music, guns, liquor, and now waste/resource management. Mr. McLaughlin's high energy approach to leadership seeks to honor three basic principles: focus on the right things, work as a team, and get the right results. He earned his degree in Business Administration and is Green Belt certified in Lean/6-Sigma.
