David Hera is the semiconductor applications team manager at Syft Technologies in New Zealand. He joined Syft in 2015, starting out as an application scientist in R&D where he played a key role in the development of a novel negative ion source for detection of various inorganic volatiles (including acid gases) before moving into the field of technical sales in 2016. His focus now is on applications for the semiconductor industry and he has been leading a team of multidisciplinary scientists and engineers since January 2018. He holds a B.Sc. degree in Biogeosciences from Friedrich-Schiller-University of Jena, Germany.
